Hooked Rug Workshop
April 5-9, 2009
Punderson Manor House
Four nationally known instructors offer classes to those wanting to create rugs as they were made in the 1800s. These hand-hooked rugs are made with wool fabric, not yarn, and are not latch hooked rugs. The wool fabric is dyed, cut into strips and pulled through a linen base with a tool similar to a crochet hook. The results are works of art that can be hung on the wall or actually used as rugs on your floors. The designs can range from geometric to floral, pictorial to primitive. The classes will be for fairly new rug hookers along with very experienced rug hookers.
Classes start with meeting the teacher after dinner, Sunday evening and are over at 3pm Thursday. For more information please contact Cynthia Norwood at canorw@aol.com.
